Teen summer camps offer students a look behind the scenes and the ability to act or direct their own theater production
Washington, D.C. – June 3, 2010 – Lead-America.org, the leader in academic teen summer camps, announced another teen program that will enable students to excel in theater. The pre-college summer theater programs the company started will be held on July 18th at Fordham University in New York. The 10-day theater camp will offer students a look behind some of the greatest theater productions, as well as exposed them to the acting and directing skills needed.
“This pre-college summer theater program expands on what high school students have learned in their drama clubs, and glee programs. For 10-days, these kids are able to have hands on experience from industry experts who have put on hundreds of sold out shows in cities across the country,” said Natalie Conlley. “All of the teen summer programs help build character in kids who are preparing to go to college. Each of the camps are focused to a specific industry so that the kids get the maximum learning.”
LeadAmerica has had great success with their teen educational summer camps and programs. Each of their camps consist of 10-day workshops where high school students learn with a hands on approach in the field of their choice. This pre-college summer theater program costs $2,499 and will take place at Fordham University in New York. Tuition for these conferences varies but does include housing, on-campus meals, schedule of classes, hands on simulations and transportation to field excursions as needed.
