At the Global Summit,
you'll explore the very real and complex
diplomatic issues facing our world
today. You'll meet policy makers and
international diplomats with whom you'll
discuss the delicate balance of world
peace, the ways in which governments
negotiate and reach alliances, and
the realities behind international
conflict resolution.
TWO-CITY
PROGRAM
Depending on your session, your conference
will begin in Washington, DC or New
York City. In Washington, DC you will
meet with government officials
and learn about the ways in which US
foreign policy is shaped. Leaders of
global organizations, agencies and
governing bodies will guide you in
exploring international response in
a post-9/11 world. In New York City,
home of the United Nations, you'll
continue your exploration with an in-depth
look at the role of the UN in resolving
differences between governments and
the economic, diplomatic and military
strategies available to solve international
conflict.
INTERNATIONAL
DIPLOMACY SIMULATION In
our International Diplomacy
Simulation, you'll tackle
an international crisis or disruption
of peace. You'll take on
the roles of heads of governments,
international organizations and special
interest groups and identify and weigh
the consequences of possible economic,
diplomatic and other efforts. You'll
work to maintain the delicate balance
of world peace while advancing the
policies and interests of
the country or organization
you represent. From Washington, DC
to New York City, you'll
experience the power and
excitement of international
politics and global cooperation.
