Discover Robotics & Science is a 10-day immersion offering offers students the rare chance to explore the exciting and diverse world of physics, robotics and applied science. The curriculum focuses on Physical Science (Physics and Robotics) as well as other science applications providing a well rounded experience. This program places a great deal of emphasis on fostering creativity and imagination while working with a partner and in groups. Whether you are interested in Robotics or the exciting world of science, Discover Robotics & Science will foster creativity and provide an understanding of what it takes to lead in these fields.

Roll up your sleeves as you explore the PHYSICAL SCIENCES.
In this program you’ll be exposed to a series of mini-simulations where scientific theory introduced in the classroom is put to the test through controlled experimentation. Along with other members of your team, you’ll learn how to build and program your own robotic vehicle designed to perform simple tasks.

You’ll explore the variables and forces of velocity, gravity and motion and build a transport device to effectively protect an object during free fall. And in the ‘Egg Racer Challenge’ you’ll design, build and test a vehicle required to support and protect precious cargo – success is gauged against other teams in a winner-take-all final simulation event. All of these activities and mini-simulations are grounded in the fundamentals of scientific decision making and emphasized in an exercise focused on learning the Scientific Method.
